Getting caught by the Gardai was probably more pleasant than what waited this driver at home.
Drivers caught breaking the law will try any and every excuse to get off the hook, often offering an explanation they believe everyone will understand.
We feel sorry for one man who was caught running a red light by the Gardai recently, not so much for him getting caught, but for the reception he was likely to get at home afterwards.
