Models used on campaign poster ‘appalled’ to be associated with ‘No’ vote in Marriage Referendum

“The beautiful family on that poster is all for Marriage Equality.”

Well-known Australian comedian and TV presenter Adam Hills has claimed that a couple featured on a poster urging a ‘No’ vote in the upcoming marriage referendum are “appalled” that their faces are being used to promote something they wholeheartedly disagree with.

In a Facebook post last night, Hills said that the man and the woman in the photograph used in the poster are friends of his wife and that the image used is a stock photo that neither party were aware was being used on a poster canvassing support for a No vote.

So, there is a Marriage Equality vote in Ireland at the moment, and it has all got pretty heated. Posters like these…

Hills shared a photo that was originally posted on Facebook by fellow comedian Jason Manford at the weekend and made headlines due to Manford’s unequivocal opposition to the message it portrayed.
