San Andreas is in Irish cinemas right now and while most people will be drawn to the cinema by that intoxicating mix of epic action and The Rock being the total legend that he is, there’s also a very talented actress who stars in the film.
Alexandra Daddario is set to be the next big thing in Hollywood so here are five things you need to know about her…
1) She has Irish heritage
Just like almost every American person in the world, Alexandra has Irish ancestry… along with Italian, English and Czech ancestry too.
We’re willing to bet that the best part of her personality is the Irish one though. It’s only natural.
2) She features in the video for one of the biggest songs of the last few years
You may have heard of a little song called ‘Radioactive’ by Imagine Dragons?
Well, that’s Alexandra in it.
3) She boasts two incredible TV shows on her CV
Daddario should be instantly recognisable to some fans because she starred in two of JOE’s favourite shows, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and True Detective.
In IASIP she plays a rich heiress that becomes infatuated with Charlie and almost breaks his fascination with the waitress. Almost.
Her role in True Detective was… ahem… much racier though, she played Lisa Tragnetti – the woman who Detective Hart had an affair with.
4) The force is strong with her
It appears that she’s a massive Star Wars fan as seen by this tweet.

Fargo’s William H. Macy has cast Daddario alongside Kate Upton in The Layover, a road-trip sex comedy that revolves around to friends that “decide to avoid their problems by taking a vacation, only to find that their plane has been rerouted due to a hurricane warning.”
