The Independent have revealed that the government look set to approve a proposal to remove one and two cent coins from circulation after a successful trial in Wexford.
If Ireland pursues this plan, we wouldn’t be the first country to do so. The Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Hungary are all following similar policies.
In the event that this is pursed, prices will then be narrowed up or down to the nearest five cent figure.
Mmm, we wonder which way prices will go.
