The Irish people continue to rally behind those affected by the Berkeley tragedy.

It’s been three days since the country was shocked to its core by the tragic events in Berkeley, California, which claimed the lives of six Irish students.

It’s going to take a long time for the families and friends of those involved to get over such a tragedy, but it has been uplifting to see the way the Irish people have rallied to provide support.

Messages and gestures of support have been flooding in from all over the country and beyond and it was touching to see that some person or people went to the trouble to assemble a message on the way up the iconic Croagh Patrick in Mayo, as was spotted by JOE reader Ronan Finn, who sent it into us overnight.
