How could he remain so calm?
The Afghanistan parliament came under attack in Kabul earlier today, with the Taliban claiming responsibility after a car bomb was detonated outside the parliament gates and parliament buildings were stormed by six gunmen.
The Afghanistan interior ministry has since confirmed that all six gunmen were killed, as were a woman and a child in the initial attack, while as many as 40 civilians were injured.
Footage of the attack has since appeared on the Internet, including a clip which shows the remarkable reaction of speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahim when the attack took place.
Ibrahim barely flinches and actually continues to speak while chaos descends all around him; he seems to us like exactly the type of man you’d want in the type of crisis that engulfed Kabul today.
