Well played Barry’s Tea.
Nearly three weeks on, it’s still difficult to come to terms with the tragedy that claimed the lives of six Irish J1 students in Berkeley, California.
A number of Irish J1 students still staying in the area have reportedly taken to meeting regularly for cups of tea as they attempt to move on from the tragic events and Barry’s Tea were more than happy to help them out this week.
According to the Galway Advertiser, the mother of a J1 student currently in Berkeley got in touch with the company to ask if they might help out after the students had drank their summer tea supply.
Barry’s responded by sending a care package of 480 teabags to the US west coast.
A Galway J1 student currently in Berkeley, Gráinne Kennedy, got in touch with Barry’s via their Facebook page to thank them for their support; it might have only been a small gesture but it was a very nice one and it was very much appreciated.
Fair play Barry’s.
