Works are being carried out on the level crossing this evening.
A truck that crashed into a level crossing in Sandymount in Dublin earlier today is causing delays on DART and commuter services.
Services between Dun Laoghaire and Pearse Station have been affected after the truck hit the level crossing at Sandymount, where Irish Rail workers have been carrying out repair work since.

At the time of writing, trains are now resuming through Sandymount at a reduced speed, although there will be further delays after the evening peak (approximately 7.30pm) to allow for further repairs to be carried out.
Dublin Bus are honouring tickets for affected customers, while the Irish Rail Twitter account has been busy responding to inquiries since the incident occurred earlier today.
