Met Eireann are getting dog’s abuse over their weather predictions

They have a tough job to be fair

Joe Harrington

They have a tough job to be fair.

Predicting the weather in Ireland is probably one of the hardest jobs in the country but Gerry Murphy, Nuala Carey, Gerald Fleming, Jean Byrne and the crew do their best every night.

We can confirm they’re not weather Gods who control everything, but despite that, Met Eireann received 99 official complaints on a range of weather issues over a 12 month period.

Heads Shake

According to the Irish Mirror, 18 complaints related to “perceived forecast inaccuracies on met.ie and RTE”, 20 were about the “language and terminology used by experts.”

There’s more.

Twenty people complained about the formatting and presentation on the Met Eireann website and three people complained about the lack of forecasts and warnings for the North.

Who are these people? B*Witched fans?
