A first for a GAA homecoming.
The Liam McCarthy Cup being lifted in Nowlan Park in September isn’t anything unusual for Kilkenny folk but the ground was packed tonight as fans welcomed home their heroes.
The thousands of people that turned up to see the All-Ireland champions were given an extra treat because some lad decided to strip and run across the pitch in the Marble city.
We’re not sure if it was a bet or a dare or he’s just very confident about his body, but the guards didn’t find it too funny and they apprehended him pretty quickly.
