Some neck on this lad.

A judge in Limerick prevented a man from giving evidence in court yesterday because of how he was dressed.

According to the Irish Sun, Judge James O’Donohue refused to allow architect Noel Kerley provide evidence to the court until he got a tie to accompany the navy blazer and open-necked shirt he was wearing.

“We want the right kind of dress and proper decorum here, Judge O’Donohue said.

“This is not a Ryanair kind of show we are running here.”

Kerley was allowed to give evidence in relation to a licence for an extension to The Curragower, a bar and restaurant in Limerick, once he returned to the court wearing a tie.

He wouldn’t have had to leave the court at all had he tried the old Lionel Hutz trick in reverse.
