We’d be amazed if that this stage you haven’t seen the footage of Andy Whelan, a reporter from Revolution Republic News, walking head first into a lamppost while trying to confront Labour TD Joe Costello on the street earlier this week.
You couldn’t help but feel sorry for Andy due to the not insignificant impact of his head against the post, but much like the poor fella who slipped on the ice a few winters ago, you couldn’t help but watch it over and over again either.
Cian McCann has made the clip even more watchable on YouTube by adding the Countdown conundrum music and timing it so that the dong at the end combines seamlessly with the noise made by Whelan when his head connects with the post.
