We’re all familiar with the obligatory Skype call to the family when abroad; the dodgy reception, the misplaced camera on the parents’ side, talking over each other, the delay in responses – it’s all fairly tedious and forgettable. Not this call, though.
Roger is an Irish man who’s travelling around the world and had a Skype call with his mother and father, Mary and Pat, that will always be remembered.
Thinking his son was initially on a bus, Pat can’t hide his shock when he realises what’s happening, while Mary’s reaction is equally hilarious.
This is absolutely brilliant and so very, very Irish.
