You wouldn’t be long gettin’ frostbit.
We’ve had the wind and Lord knows we’ve had enough rain and now Ireland is set to be with a cold snap in the next week or so.
According to Met Éireann, heavy showers are expected all over Ireland throughout the weekend, some of which may be wintry, with south Munster and east Leinster set to bear the brunt of the worst of them.
Long dry spells will, thankfully, emerge at some stage, although as clear skies develop, frost and ice will become an issue, with temperatures set to dip as low as -1 tonight.

It will be cold again tomorrow and sub-zero temperatures will prevail on Sunday night and during the week, when rain, sleet and even snow in areas on higher ground will fall and make it feel very wintry indeed.
Surely, a decent spring and summer should follow after all we’ve experienced lately, right?
Actually no, this is Ireland after all.
