Heartbreaking news…
An 18-year-old Cork student has died in hospital after taking a synthetic drug at a house party last week.
The teenager, named locally as Alex Ryan, from Millstreet, Cork had been on a life support in Cork University Hospital since Tuesday morning but tragically lost his fight for life today.
He was among six people who were hospitalised after taking the drug, recently identified as a hallucinogenic drug with the street name N-Bomb.
The remaining five were released from hospital over the last number of days.
The World Health Organisation is reporting deaths from the drug in a number of countries including Britain, the United States and Australia.
