Enda Kenny has dissolved the 31st Dáil.
The Taoiseach and leader of Fine Gael was absent from his seat when Dáil began this morning and questions were put to Minister Charlie Flanagan.
He entered the Dáil minutes ago to dissolve it and announce that he was proceeding immediately to Áras an Uachtaráin, and that the 32nd Dáil would meet on March 1o.
No date for the election was announced in the Dáil.
