What a development this would be.
Some people are referring to the resurgence of Ireland’s economy as ‘the Celtic phoenix.’ We’d be more cautious than that, but it’s certainly good to see developments such as the one Liffey Valley shopping centre has got planned.
According to the Irish Times, Liffey Valley’s managers and owners will invest almost €30 million in developing the centre – adding 60 new shops, and an ice-skating rink of “Olympic” standard.
The centre has applied for planning permission for a further 1,800 parking spaces and retail space of roughly 22,000 square metres.

If these plans go through then it means great news for Ireland’s shoppers, jobseekers and ice-skaters all at once.
