VIDEO: The River Shannon was on the verge of bursting its banks in Limerick this morning

Conor Heneghan

Storm Imogen is beginning to make its mark.

Storm Imogen, the latest in a series of storms to hit Ireland in recent weeks, brought with it more miserable conditions throughout the country last night.

Met Éireann last night issued three weather warnings valid until noon today and in Limerick, the devastating effects of the adverse weather are already there to be seen.

JOE reader Kieran Wason sent us on a video recorded along O’Callaghan Strand in Limerick at 6.30am this morning, with the Shannon seemingly on the verge of bursting its banks.

Limerick’s Live 95 FM and AA Roadwatch have been providing updates this morning, with many routes affected by flooding as a result of the conditions.

The disruption caused by Storm Imogen isn’t limited to Limerick so be sure to check AA Roadwatch before hitting the road this morning to ensure that your journey isn’t affected.

Cheers to Kieran Wason for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, editorial@JOE.ie or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
