Independent TD Mick Wallace is probably known for his shaggy hair and polo shirts as much as he is known for his politics, which sets him up for a unique kind of vandalism.
Some politicians end up with moustaches or glasses drawn on, some get covered in penises, some have abusive messages written on their posters.
But Wallace, who represents the Wexford constituency in the Dáil, got the worst treatment of all today – when somebody added a tie to his poster. That’s right, a tie.
The cruelest insult of all. Mick Wallace would never wear a tie.
