There is a snow-ice Status Yellow warning in place for Ireland this morning

Colm Boohig

Careful now.

It’s the type of weather that’s just warm enough to bring a bit of snow, and that’s exactly what is being forecasted for certain parts this morning.

Met Éireann has issued a national Status Yellow warning until 11am this morning, with a few centimetres of snow expected on higher grounds, ranging into some lower levels as well.

There will be some icy stretches thereafter, and some wintry showers in the west later on.

It’s probably not enough to go building snowmen, if you’re lucky/unlucky enough to get snow your way.
