Much like Forrest Gump after hearing that Lieutenant Dan had received a pair of artificial legs, the world has a deep curiosity about how the years have treated some of the most famous child stars from beloved movies.
Shrimping ain’t easy and in the case of Michael Humphreys, it seems that life has imitated art. Humphreys played the young Forrest Gump in Robert Zemeckis’ Oscar winning film and just like Forrest, he decided to join the army.
While we don’t know if Michael ended up travelling to China to take part in a ping-pong tournament, we can tell you that this old image of him in his military uniform has been found on Twitter and it’s going viral.
