You can never be too careful.
Electric blankets are great for keeping us warm and cosy in the cot, but like all electrical appliances, caution needs to be exercised when using them.
The Dublin Fire Brigade illustrated the damage that can be done when electric blankets are left on and unattended when posting these pictures from a fire in Esker in Dublin earlier.
Needless to say, when you catch sight of them, you’ll take extra special care whenever using an electric blanket in future. Thankfully, there were no injuries as a result.
