Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens had a lot of incredible moments, but our favourite was indisputably the swelling of national pride we all felt when Skellig Michael appeared on the screen towards the end.
We’re preparing ourselves for even more moments like that in Episode VIII, as we’ve learned that Disney Lucasfilm contractors are down on the slopes of Ceann Sibéal on the western end of the Dingle Peninsula, building a 1.5km metal roadway to transport gear and crew, according to RTÉ.
It’s not yet known when filming will begin, but the movie is set for release December 15, 2017.
