This is the last thing you expect to wake up to on a Saturday morning.
A stolen fire engine wreaked havoc through the County Antrim town of Larne in the early hours of this morning. At least eight parked cars were mowed down before the fire engine smashed through a row of houses.
Luckily nobody was hurt.

The vehicle’s lights were flashing as it rushed through the town in the early hours of the morning.

One of the affected residents told UTV: “We thought it was possibly an explosion, we rushed downstairs and immediately saw the carnage of a line of cars, think it was probably eight cars, one sitting on its roof, my own car was side swiped as well.”
Two men (18 and 66) fled the scene, but were later arrested and questioned after one of them received hospital treatment for his injuries.
