Great news.
Almost 30 years after the original movie was released, Beetlejuice director Tim Burton has confirmed that a sequel to the cult classic is in the works.
And if that wasn’t good enough, original cast members Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder will be back too.

Speculation that a Beetlejuice sequel was in the works has been doing the rounds for some time, but Burton confirmed that it will go ahead when speaking to Showbiz Spy recently.
“The film is a go and has been approved by the Warner Bros. team, we have talked with the cast members we wanted for the film and they are all on board, this includes both Winona and Michael,” Burton said.
“We have the script in hand everything is in place all we need to do now is get ready to start filming.”
As far back as 2014, it was suggested that Robert Downey Jr and Tom Hiddleston were also linked with the project and if that was indeed the case, it would be quite the cast indeed.
For now, however, we’re happy enough that a sequel is going ahead.
After all, who could get enough of this guy?
