Introducing… The Exo.

Planning permission for what will be the tallest commercial building in Dublin was today approved by Dublin City Council.

The EXO, a NAMA-funded building in the Point Village in Dublin’s Docklands, will stand at 73 metres high when work is completed and the 224,500 sq. ft. office building will be able to accommodate 2,000 workers.

The Point Village is one of only a few locations in Dublin where the construction of high-rise buildings is permitted. The Montevetro Building, for example, owned by Google, stands at 67 metres.

The project will cost in the region of €80 million and is expected to lead to the creation of over 350 jobs. Construction is expected to be completed within 24 months.

What’s the verdict?
