Jakku believe it?
With the world’s attention focused on the breathtaking trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, fans of the series will have to be content with their Blu-ray copy of Star Wars: The Force Awakens to get them through those agonising months before the next Star Wars film arrives in the cinema.
Damn those scruffy-looking nerf herders that haven’t invented time travel yet!
The Force Awakens is a stunning film and it’s probably only going to get better with repeat viewings because there’s still so much mystery surrounding the characters of Rey, Kylo Ren and to a certain extent, Luke Skywalker.
We’re already discussed our favourite theories and rumours but a recent image on Imgur has potentially offered more insight into Rey’s backstory. Remember the shuttle that we briefly saw in her vision that took her parents away from Jakku?
Well, it bears a strikingly similarity to a ship that was used in a 1984 issue of Marvel’s classic Star Wars comic. The owner of this ship, Luke Skywalker.

A Creative Executive for Lucasfilm named Pablo Hidalgo has also further weight to this rumour when he posted an image of the shuttle that dropped Rey off at the desert planet in Episode VII.

Could Luke be Rey’s dad or was he merely dropping her off on Jakku to help protect the force sensitive child? Either way, we’re always happy to see those two together because they carry the hopes of every Jedi in the galaxy.
