Northern Irish politician claims that the IRA and ISIS may be working together

Paul Moore

“…they (ISIS) had learned how to make car bombs from Provos”.

David McNarry, the chair of the Northern Irish branch of Ukip, believes that the terrorist organisation ISIS are learning how to make car bombs by consulting with members of the IRA. McNarry’s sensational claims go even further though because he also believes that this apparent collusion is being pursued with a view to ISIS organising a bombing campaign throughout Britain.

In a stunning interview with The Express, he states:

“(I’ve) spoken to security people, some old timers. What they were most interested in was how ISIS was developing car bombs.

“Provos never strapped body bombs to themselves. The people I spoke to were keen to stress it was very likely they had learned how to make car bombs from Provos. These were people I trust.”

The former UUP chief whip and education spokesman also believes that an ISIS attack on Britain could be orchestrated by sleeper cells that are currently resident in the 32 counties.

“We have the poorest border in the world. We know that from the old Provo activity. No-one can cross the border better than the IRA. They would cross in the dark of night, commit their dastardly deeds and then go back.”

McNarry has also drawn a direct comparison to the activities of ISIS with The Troubles in Northern Ireland by saying:

“Ireland has never lost its criminal society. Terrorism in Northern Ireland was and is criminal activity. But the new threat is ISIS. Terrorism is a shared world and technology and capability will be shared.”

Given the fear-mongering nature of the sensational claims, there are quite a few people that have taken umbrage with McNarry’s remarks.
