Man shot in Dublin on Monday morning

A man has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Dublin on Monday morning.

The man, who has not been named in the media, was found with gunshot wounds on the Monasterboice Road in Crumlin at roughly 4am – he was quickly taken to the nearby St James’s Hospital.

The circumstances around the shooting are unclear, but the man’s injuries have been described as not life threatening, according to RTÉ.

The scene of the shooting has now been closed off for a technical and forensic examination by the Gardai.
