It is believed that the shooting was related to the ongoing Hutch-Kinahan feud.
A man was shot multiple times in the south of Dublin’s inner city on Friday afternoon.
The man, who has been named as David ‘Daithi’ Douglas, was shot multiple times by a lone gunman on Bridgefoot Street in Dublin 8 at approximately 4.10pm on Friday.
He was subsequently taken to St. James’ Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Friday evening.
Gardai in Kevin Street are investigating the incident and the area was sealed off for technical examination.
A car was discovered burnt out a short distance away.
