Summer in Ireland, eh?
For any of you hoping to make an excursion of some kind today, you’ll need to bring an umbrella with you.
According to Met Éireann, after starting off with some sunny spells today, rain is set to spread across the country becoming widespread as the day goes on.

The showers will be heavy and prolonged in places and there’s even a chance of isolated thunderstorms… yes, you haven’t fallen asleep and woken up in Winter, it’s still July.
It’ll be windy over parts of Munster and south Leinster, with fresh to strong south to southwest winds, but more moderate winds elsewhere.
The temperatures will remain mild however, ranging from 15 to 20 degrees, meaning that you’ve the awkward choice between getting wet or sweating buckets in a rain jacket.
Anyone going to the Connacht or Munster Finals today, you’ve been warned.
