Carrie Fisher teases a very cool scene that could appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII

Paul Moore

Things could get emotional.

Star Wars Celebration is currently taking place in London and midi-chlorian sized details about the new films are slowly creeping out.

Rian Johnson, director of Episode VIII, will be in attendance later on this evening and Star Wars fans are hoping to have a few more clues about what’s in store for Rey, Luke and the ongoing conflict between the First Order and the Resistance.

Spoiler alert if you’re a scruffy little nerf herder that still hasn’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Han Solo

As you all know, the big twist in J.J Abrams’ film occurred when Kylo Ren/Ben Solo affirmed his commitment to the Dark Side by killing his own father, Han Solo.

Yes, we’re still in mourning. It’s too painful to even think about.

Kylo

Carrie Fisher was giving a Q&A in London this afternoon and she let it slip that Han will in fact have a funeral and that it’s very likely going to appear in Rian Johnson’s upcoming film.

Princess Leia misheard a question posed to her by fellow Star Wars actor Warwick Davies, and when asked, “What do you know of the period between the end of Return of the Jedi and the beginning of The Force Awakens?”, she answered, “Han’s Funeral.”

While nothing is official, we would be delighted to see Han Solo get a proper send-off because he’s easily one of the coolest characters in the history of cinema.

When asked about Kylo Ren, Fisher brilliantly remarked that, “We had a child who turned out to be Hitler, naughty Hitler.”

We agree.

Han Solo wink
