That’s one way of looking at it.
As if her husband wasn’t doing a good job of it already, Melania Trump caused plenty of controversy earlier this week when delivering a speech that was remarkably similar to one delivered by Michelle Obama in 2008.
It didn’t prevent Trump from becoming the official Republican candidate for the US Presidency and even though the speech had gradually started to fade from people’s consciousness (the news moves so quickly these days), Trump saw fit to address it on Wednesday afternoon.
Taking the age-old approach that any publicity is good publicity, Trump almost seemed proud of the fact that it had generated headlines for the wrong reasons.
Good news is Melania's speech got more publicity than any in the history of politics especially if you believe that all press is good press!

He also didn’t pass up the opportunity to have a dig at his only rival for the US Presidency when returning to a familiar theme, the scandal surrounding Hillary Clinton’s use of private email servers while she served as secretary of state.
The media is spending more time doing a forensic analysis of Melania's speech than the FBI spent on Hillary's emails.

It’s going to be an interesting few months until November.
