Ireland’s oldest woman has passed away, aged 108

Nora Canavan, Ireland’s oldest woman and person, has passed away at the age of 108.

According to Clare FM, Nora Canavan was born Nora Mullins on March 9 in 1908 in Monreel, Ennistymon.

Canavan was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a passion for crocheting, gardening and traditional music.

Clare FM have also revealed that Nora believed hard work was the secret to her longevity.

May she rest in peace.
