Bad news as rain set to continue in “mixed’ week of weather

Well… sh*t.

It’s hard to believe we’re back to rain following the great weather we enjoyed earlier this week, but that’s Ireland we suppose.

The weather for the next week is set to be dull and dreary with most parts of the country being exposed cloudy and rainy weather.

If you’re out and about today, it may be an idea to bring an umbrella on your travels as there’s showers expected in between patches of fine weather.

Temperatures today are set to range between 15-21 degrees, but with the humidity it may feel much warmer.

“Outbreaks of rain or drizzle, together with associated mist and fog, will clear to scattered showers by early afternoon,” according to Met Eireann.

You can expect the rain to continue on Monday with showers spreading eastwards to affect many areas. Showers will become prolonged in Connacht and Ulster in the middle of the day but will taper off into the evening leaving some sunny spells.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be changeable with some mixed weather although it will be warm with highest temperatures up to 21 degrees. If there is some sunshine, make sure to put on cream if you’re susceptible to burning…

Thursday and Friday will have sunny spells and scattered showers. In other words, don’t go anywhere this week without an umbrella close to hand…
