A man has been apprehended by police in New York City after attempting to climb Trump Tower using suction cups.
The bizarre scene unfolded yesterday evening (local time), and the intentions of the man remain unclear, although it’s suspected to be for self-promotion rather than any sinister motives.
The climber scaled the 68-story building for over three hours, making it to the 21st floor before police caught him.
Police broke a window and pulled the climber inside, although the climber was nearly hit by falling glass in the process.

Police could be seen trying to communicate with the man at the scene and removed vents and windows to try and coax the man to safety.

Donald Trump later thanked the NYPD for saving the climber and their handling of the incident. Trump was away from Trump Towers at a rally when the incident occurred.
