They’re even coming from Gdansk France to be a part of it.
Organisers of all-night raves that took place in Castlebar at the weekend are already planning another one for a couple of weeks’ time, according to The Mayo News.
Gardai were called to an all-night rave that took place in the Kilkenny Cross area of the town on Friday night after local residents complained of noise from a rave that is believed to have started just after 2am and continued until 7.45am.
The Mayo News reports that another, smaller rave took place in the same location on Saturday night/Sunday morning and that organisers are already planning another event for a couple of weeks’ time.
Organisers intend to go ahead with the event despite up to eight people being found in possession of drugs (believed to be cannabis and ecstasy) at checkpoints set up by Gardai on Saturday night.

Warrants to search the venue and vehicles travelling to the event were obtained by Gardai, but no drugs were found inside the venue.
Furthermore, while it is understood that the Gardai did not have the legal power to shut down the raves, a file is being prepared for the DPP, and a Garda spokesperson told the Mayo News that they were confident of bringing a prosecution against the landowner and the organisers for unlicensed dancing.
It is believed that approximately 200 people attended the event on Friday night and a smaller number of people attended on Saturday.
Amongst those in attendance over the weekend were a mother who had brought her 18-year old daughter to the rave from New Ross in Wexford as a birthday present and others from Cork, Limerick, Belfast and even France.
