PIC: Gardaí arrest motorcyclist in Limerick for dangerously exceeding the speed limit

Alan Loughnane

He was travelling at some speed…

Over the weekend, there were a number of speeding incidents where motorists were caught travelling at excessive speeds, but none were quite to the same level as this one.

Gardaí came across a motorbike on the Patrickswell motorway in Limerick travelling at a downright dangerous 218km/h… just the 100kph over the actual speed limit.

As of 7 October 2016, 142 deaths had occurred on Irish roads in 2016, 22 more than at the same stage last year.

Slow down, folks.
