If you’re not having particularly happy Monday, this will lift your spirits.
Surfers on Killadoon Beach near Louisburgh in Mayo on Sunday got quite a surprise when they came across what appears to be a baby whale that had got stranded in shallow water, but they didn’t take long to work together.
Community spirit is alive and well in the West of Ireland and this remarkable video – filmed by Fionnuala Carter – shows the moment they manage to get the calf free.
There were a few hairy moments but the cheers at the end spoke volumes.
