This could be very special.
Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner isn’t just a great sci-fi film, it’s a great film, period.
In 1982, Rick Deckard’s quest to try and terminate four replicants who stole a ship in space and returned to Earth revolutionised cinema as Scott’s visual masterpiece balanced a superb aesthetic with intricate plotting. Can the sequel top the original or will “all those moments be lost in time, like tears in rain.”
Plot’s it all about: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
Cast: Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, with Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.
Director: Denis Villeneuve
