Met Eireann has issued two new snow and ice warnings as the national broadcaster warns of snow and the possibility of blizzard conditions and thunderstorms.
Today, they issued an orange alert for Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from 6pm on Wednesday to 6pm on Friday.
Showers of hail, sleet and snow are expected to hit these counties with moderate to lower levels inland to more significant accumulations on higher ground. In higher areas in particular, Met Eireann are warning of blizzard conditions and drifting.

There is a further yellow alert for snow and ice in Munster, Leinster, Galway and Roscommon. The alert is active from 5am on Thursday until 6pm on Friday.
Showers of hail, sleet and snow are expected to hit these areas, especially on higher ground with smaller accumulations on lower ground.
The national yellow weather warning is still in place across the country from 6pm on Wednesday until 12pm on Saturday.
The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is advising all road users to take extra care when using the roads over the next 72 hours.
They’re asking road users to check local weather and traffic conditions and be aware of the conditions before setting out on a trip.
