Could be a good cure for the hangover.

If you’re in Dublin and looking for a post-Paddy’s Day activity that doesn’t involve drinking, then you may well be interested in special movie screenings in Dublin on March 18 and 19.

Following on from sold out-events at Halloween and Christmas, Retro Drive-in Movies are bringing the world’s biggest outdoor LED Screen back to Cherrywood in Dublin for what they’re dubbing a ‘St. Patrick’s Weekend Drive-in Spectacular’.

Amongst the movies on show on St. Patrick’s weekend will be two special anniversary screenings, one to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the cinematic release of Titanic and another celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Irish cinematic release of Stand By Me.

On March 18, viewers will get a fully interactive drive-in experience, as every ticket issued for the Titanic drive-in will be connected to a real passenger aboard the ill-fated ship, complete with the passenger’s name, nationality and type of ticket.

Other movies on the bill include The Van, Top Gun and Toy Story, while there will be burgers, hot dogs, popcorn and pizza on the night to provide much-needed sustenance.

Tickets for Retro Drive-in @ Cherrywood are available here for €28 (plus booking fee); the last two events were sold out so you might want to act fast.
