Bank of Ireland apologises after payments issue leaves many without wages

JOE

An issue with processing payments left many Bank of Ireland customers fuming this morning, with many furious workers unable to access their wages.

The end of the month is a financially tricky time for most, but some customers faced extra difficulties because their mortgage and rent payments were scheduled to leave their bank account today – before their wages had been paid in.

Many of the bank’s irritated customers venting their ire regarding the delays on Twitter:

“We’re working on this as a priority, apologies for any inconvenience & we’ll provide an update as soon as possible.” the bank tweeted.
