Tragic news…
Three people have died following an apartment fire in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 this morning.
Gardaí and fire services attended the scene of the fire at Cluainin Cronan, Clondalkin at approximately 2.30am this morning.
Five people were in the apartment when the blaze broke out.
A 27-year-old woman and two female children were taken to Tallaght Hospital but were pronounced dead a short time later.
A woman in her 30s was taken to St James Hospital and a four-year-old boy have also been taken to Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin and their condition has been described as critical.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to contact them at Clondalkin Garda Station on 01-666 7600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
