Whoever they were trying to get a picture of at that polling station must be very important.
In such a hotly contested election as the general election taking place in the UK today, there was always a chance that tempers could flare.
Rather than words being exchanged between rival supporters of the Conservative, Labour and other contesting parties, however, it was a bunch of cameramen who engaged in the most vigorous battle yet in an effort to get the best vantage point at the door of one rain-sodden polling station.
Footage captured by the BBC shows TV cameramen and photographers aggressively jostling for position and when one cameraman hits the floor as a result, others take action by aggressively interfering with the equipment of the TV cameraman closest to the door.
All the while, a female voice can be heard narrating events in the background, describing it as a “proper scrap” and letting out a shriek shortly before the end.

‘Handbags’ would probably be a more appropriate term under the circumstances.
