The driver of the tractor, a man believed to be in his 60s, was arrested as a result of the incident.
Gardaí in Kerry arrested a man in his 60s in the town of Rathmore after he crashed his tractor into a Garda car on Sunday afternoon.
Footage recorded at the scene appeared to show the driver deliberately swerve his tractor into a parked Garda car after refusing to stop for another Garda vehicle at a Garda checkpoint in the town.
After crashing into the car, the driver of the tractor reversed and began to drive away before being pursued by both Garda cars; the man was apprehended at approximately 4pm on Sunday and arrested for dangerous driving, criminal damage and endangerment.
