Traffic in Dublin’s City Centre has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Patches of ice and frost on the road, as well as a higher volume of people taking motorised transport to work has led to widespread congestion throughout Dublin this morning.
Dublin Bus has taken to Twitter this morning to warn any potential commuters of the delays: “We wish to advise customers of heavy volumes of traffic in and around the city centre. We are experiencing severe delays on our services across the city.”
They also retweeted a tweet from Live Drive which suggested that there is traffic on the quays between Wolf Tone Quay and Bachelor’s Walk that could take as much as 45 minutes to clear.

As it stands, Dublin Bus is still operating on all routes with one exception: “The only curtailment is to route 44b which is operating to the Blue Church and not serving Glencullen due to icy roads.”
