A young man in his late 20s has died following a road incident in north Donegal.
The pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car in Sandhill, Dunfanaghy, County Donegal at about 4.15am this morning, 27 December.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the car was uninjured.
The N56 road between Portnablagh and Dunfanaghy has been closed for a forensic examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and diversions are in place.

This is the eleventh person killed on Donegal’s roads in 2017.
