There’s a multitude of life lessons that you can take from Dumb and Dumber. For example, we now know that it’s possible to crossbreed a Bulldog and a Shitz Zu to create a Bullshit. Elsewhere, we finally know that it’s possible to ‘whack’ an owl with a cork and that it’s always a good idea to check the plumbing before “releasing” yourself on the toilet.
FYI, the sound of that small and squeaky fart at the end will stay with us forever.
Anyways, if you happen to have a friend that needs to “totally redeem” themselves after some incredibly dumb antics, we’ve got just the screening for you. Yes, there’s no need to go to Aspen – I don’t know Lloyd the French are assholes – because Dumb and Dumber is returning to Irish cinemas for one night only.
To celebrate the arrival of Road House Cinema on Smithfield Square, the Lighthouse Cinema are bringing you a selection of their favourite road movies and you can’t have a road movie without Harry and Lloyd.
After all, what other characters in film history drove a sixth of the way across the country in the wrong direction?
Even if you’ve seen the film 1,000 times, it’s always a good idea to catch up with the world’s most beloved idiots. Just don’t do anything stupid like getting your tongue stuck to a steel poll or proclaim to the entire room that “I desperately want to make love to a schoolboy.”
