A young road user has been seriously injured following a road traffic accident in Cork.
Gardaí are investigating in incident which involved a collision between a car and a motorcycle at Upper Fairhill, Cork on Thursday at 9.55pm.
A motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was seriously injured following the incident. He was taken from the scene to Cork University Hospital where he is currently being treated.
The driver of the car involved in the collision, a woman in her 50s, was not injured.
The road at the scene remains closed and a forensic collision examination of the area will take place on Friday morning.
